I work at the property. I actually worked the wedding. I thought it was incredibly beautifully amazing but I felt like they dropped the ball on the carpet, there should have been green carpeting.

This was great for any new business person. I'm an engineer. We break things down per service and leave room in the contact to charge more if the client ends up changing the design once we've put time into making their 1st dream planned out, or if the county requires us to make major changes that they haven't asked for before. If we are hiring sub consultants, we charge a percentage. It's for our time coordinating and doing the admin work and also we do take some liability for what they do too. I was shocked when you said $5k. I was like that is so much work and time to handle way to many small time eating task. You're hourly wage would have been next to nothing for those 1st few events. The events that you're planing now, are on another level. I couldn't imagine. Glad you recognized you need time between events too.

If a couple doesn't care about the details of decor, can that be taken care of by someone else. I'd be so frustrated to have to make 13 choices of how to set a table. I'd be like, what's the cheapest, because as long as it looks ok, I don't care... I'm about to be engaged and not looking forward to planning a wedding. I just want to show up at a party and have a good time celebrating the marriage of me to an amazing man and our new life together.

Sorry, but you're kind of delusional. It seems like your approach is all about "chase us for months or years and MAYBE we'll notice you" 🤦‍♀️ Are we talking business here, or what? Because business is all about sales and numbers. Is it really worth spending hours (according to your own words) commenting on Instagram just for you to MAYBE notice me? Nope, it’s not. You also keep emphasizing how valuable YOUR time is, but it comes off as if you think your time is more precious than someone else’s. You can't spare a moment to read a brief email with pricing and a portfolio, but you expect others to invest hours being active on your social platforms? It's outrageous! You talk about spending years building relationships, but seem to forget the fast-paced world we live in. Because if a tool were invented tomorrow that could replace photographers, you planners would probably be quick to ditch us 😂 And on one hand, it’s understandable as you're all about cutting costs for your clients, but then why get offended by a discount offered in an introductory email?😂 I'm personally fed up with industry folks acting like they're a ‘hand that feeds us’, expecting us to dance around them. THE REALITY IS - we're partners, whether you like it or not. You need a photographer, and that's the service I provide. If you're not satisfied with the quality or pricing, just say so or move on. But dictating that other professionals must devote hours of their lives just to get on your radar? Not cool.

Dear Andrea, this wedding was an awe-inspiring celebration. It's amazing to see how you excel at wedding planning and design, while also possessing the talent of a great celebrant like myself.

This is dependent on your job! I work for a venue rather than individual brides or myself and I execute vision day of and don't meet bride until rehearsal or sometimes day of. They speak to sales managers prior to the day!
